Oil pastels and Watercolour
More of what I've been working on. At the moment it's a lot of the same sort of thing but I think this is a good process to move through. Here I've just tried the same idea with watercolour on top of oil pastel with different types of flowers other than the ones mentioned in the poem.
A2 pieces on proper watercolour paper of Iris's and Hydrangea's- was interesting because as the paper is grainy I couldn't get a solid line of colour with the oil pastels so the shapes haven't come out as clearly once the watercolour paint was applied. The images and patterns bleed together easily.
