I've been desperately trying to rethink the text for my book and add a more interesting element to the middle of the story. I've always been told how important the 'beginning', 'middle' and the 'end' of a story is but until I stopped and thought about it I realised that it's 100% true. I've added a storm to the story whereas before I was simply counting the animals down which won't keep the reader (particularly children!) interested in flipping the pages. I've only shown a few snippets here as it's a rough but I wanted to keep you updated.
